Town of Nevers

"Within the framework of developing the use of ICT throughout the Town of Nevers, we must be able to provide Internet access to the Town's private network, both for elected members and civil servants, and in the Reception area of the tourist information centre and to the close surrounding area, for the public at large. Finally, the development of 'Nevers-Conference' has led us to provide as part of our basic services, an Internet connection to conference delegates", states Philippe Laroye.
"The outcome for us is very positive. The whole of the installation could be discretely integrated into the rooms of the Main building", adds Philippe Laroye. "We plan to equip other municipal sites used for meetings and conferences and thus to allow remote mobile access on the part of conference delegates in any location throughout meetings."

"We want to implement a secure Wi-Fi network and comply with the "counter-terrorism" law, but we must be able to easily integrate this new hardware into our existing environment. He was therefore essential to find a solution that was fully compatible and would be able to co-exist in a heterogeneous environment. UCOPIA proved to be the solution best adapted to our requirements," recalls Jean-Patrick Trauet, Technical and Security Manager. "Thanks to this principle of the delegation console, Internet access has become completely independent. No technicians need to be called out to configure computers or user profiles, which for us is a real lifesaver in terms of time and availability allowing us to concentrate on more sensitive tasks", welcomes Jean-Patrick Trauet.
