As soon as they are commissioned all UCOPIA boxes are administered by a system for services management platform. They can therefore be monitored, configured, administered, remotely maintained, individually or by group. The platform allows you to automate certain tasks such as installing licences or downloading updates. When installed, the controller identifies itself to a services management platform at UCOPIA, which enables the corresponding licence key. The controller is registered in the system for managing the UCOPIA pool of equipment. Every night, the UCOPIA controller interrogates the services management platform to check for the eventual availability of an update. These updates are downloaded. By configuration, the customer decides whether the updates are applied automatically or at its discretion. Managing the pool of equipment plays a part in providing end customers with a better service, enhanced responsiveness and improved efficiency on the part of technicians (remote intervention).
Since July 2008, all new versions of the UCOPIA software incorporates this function of managing the pool of equipment.
For older versions, all you have to do is migrate them to a version of the UCOPIA software V3.0 R4 or later.
